WARNING: DON’T COUNT YOUR CHICKENS BEFORE THEY HATCH!

Claiming victory— too soon — might be a bit embarrassing!😱

During the 1948 Presidential Election, the polls showed Thomas Dewey ahead and likely to win.

In fact the Chicago Daily Tribune on November 3, 1948 erroneously reported:

“Dewey Defeats Truman”

Of course, President Truman won the election by a landslide

As a youth, I often heard my older siblings say, “don’t count your chickens before they hatch!”

Nevertheless, as humans, we often “count our chickens before they hatch.”

We don’t want to wait. We want what we want — and now!

Suffice it to say — by nature — we are not a patient people.

And, because we have so little patience, we sometimes try to turbo-charge the outcome of the situation. “No can do!”

We just have to slow our adrenaline.😏

We’re all guilty of “jumpin’ the gun” sometimes.

Choosing ‘badly’ is more common than we will admit!🙄

On Wednesday morning, November 4, the Fox News Channel reported that President Trump declared victory in multiple key battleground states (before a winner had been determined).

It is clear the President wants to win and be re-elected to the Presidency.

However, the President must have some patience. Trust me — it works!

But the reality is that someone has to lose — regardless of the contest.😔

Here’s the thing…

Nothing New Under The Sun

Frankly, election “drama” is nothing new!

The 2000 Presidential Election also had its ‘hiccups’. George H.W. Bush eventually prevailed.

In Biblical times, an ambitious and contemptuous Absalom desire to have the power of his father, King David.

After a traveler bowed to him on the roadside, Absalom thought in his heart, “If only I were appointed judge in the land! Then everyone who has a complaint or case could come to me, and I would see that they received justice.”

However, King David was chosen by God and anointed — by Samuel the prophet — to be king over Israel.

Absalom’s heart reeked with jealousy and envy — two unpopular ‘all-stars!’

Ultimately, Absalom declared himself King over all of Israel.👑

Consequently, King David flees for his life as Absalom makes himself king of Israel. But, the Lord protected David and and kept him safe.

Perhaps, if Absalom had learned some patience, possibly, he would have been David’s successor?

“To err is human — To forgive is Divine”

So, my fellow Americans, let’s not be too harsh on the President.

“As quiet as it is kept,” we all want to ‘sit in the winners’ circle!’

Albeit, he was — somewhat — over-zealous and premature in his declaration of victory. Also, given his past rhetoric, his motive appeared obvious.

But, only God knows the heart of man.

Yes, I too, have heard the ‘noise’ about stealing the election, ‘voter fraud’, etc.

Rest assured folks, the people’s voice will be heard!

As per NPR on November 4, 2020, there are millions of votes that continue to be counted. I believe Democracy will prevail!

So…

I will leave all of you with my final comment about the 2020 Presidential Election…

“God and only God will determine who will sit in America’s White House as

President of the United States of America🇺🇸

P.S. “America, God has the final say!”
